Appendiculair skeletal muscle mass
The appendiculair skeletal muscle mass (ASMM) is used in the diagnostics of sarcopenia. Cut-off values are:
ASMM: <20 kg for men and <15 kg for women
ASMMI: <7,0 kg/m2 for men and <5,5 kg/m2 for women
The authors of the the sarcopenia consensus advice to use the Sergi equation to calculate the ASMM.
